A week that passed in the blink of an eye! Sunday Sevens is here to give an insight into seven days in my shoes. Read all about it with Nat at Threads and Bobbins.
1. I had some time to myself last Sunday, so went for a wander down to town in search of sunglasses.
2. The sun made more of an appearance during this week’s dog walks, meaning they feel like so much more of a pleasure than a chore.
3. Time for a trim! And a bit of a touch up on my regrowth…
4. In preparation for taking a school trip this week, my friend and I visited a farm to conduct a risk assessment. Of course we couldn’t help but coo over the piglets while we were there.
5. Self-seeding poppies in my garden. They didn’t grow in this spot last year, so were an extra bright and beautiful surprise.
6. I returned to Lincoln to attend a sewing meet at Rock Paper Scissors. It was lovely to sit and chat with other sewists, whilst doing a little hand sewing.
7. Other than the meet, I’ve made a kind of bargain with myself that I won’t see until I’ve finished writing reports. It’s already 2 weeks since I made anything! Instead I took my laptop outside to ease the pain. I was so engrossed in my work that my shoulders did turn a little bit pink though!
This week I’m including an extra photo, which I think will be useful for posterity – I can’t believe the weather that’s forecast for the week ahead.
It’s looking like an extremely hot one! Enjoy the sunshine, and unlike me, be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen 😎
And about too with the sunshine, although I’ll believe it when I see it quite frankly! Very little time to see we here too, although I did squeeze in an hour or so this morning. Roll on the Summer…

I’ll second that 🙂 Let’s hope for a sunny and slightly less intensive end to the school year.

Yey to the weather forecast – perfect for our girly week in Cornwall! Working in the sunshine could be worse though, despite your burnt shoulders:)

It really could! I was secretly pleased about my shoulders, they usually turn brown after a day or two! Have a lovely week – which part of Cornwall are you off to?

Love the sun glasses, and cute piglets! When I was younger I wanted one as a pet, but I went to a farm once to see them and they smelled awful…I don’t want one anymore:)

The piglets were adorable! And the perfect size for cuddles! But you’re right, their scent left a lot to be desired, luckily! Sunglasses are just New Look 🙂

Good luck with your pact not to sew whilst there’s work to be done, but don’t be sad, have an hours if you need it / you’ll work better!
Isn’t sunshine amazing! It’s even made working this weekend more bearable. Nice shades! 😎

I’m hoping reports will be a distant memory by next weekend, so fingers crossed all will be well! Thank you – I wanted some sunnies that were vintage-looking but not TOO much, I do quite like them 🙂

I love the socks!!! I’m actually jealous of the weather you are having this week + next…it’s ever so stormy over here 😦 Where are the pigs? They look very cute, as do the doggies!

I love the photo on the dog walk and so happy to hear you’re getting a little summer there! You can have some of ours, we have too much here in eastern Washington state–111F here yesterday. Hope for a speedy end to reports and return to sewing!

Thank you for your good wishes 🙂 Washington State is beautiful – I visited as part of a road trip down from Vancouver a few years ago.
