Last year I loved taking part in my very first Sewing Santa, so when I saw that Sheila from Sewchet was organising one this year I didn’t hesitate to sign up. I’ve been collecting items for my parcel for a while, but it’s only now that I’m finally ready to update you with a preview of the contents.

I included 2 patterns. My recipient seems to be a fan of shirt dresses, and as this is a fairly new pattern I’m hoping it’s one she doesn’t yet have. She also seems to enjoy making bags, hence the second.

I added in a couple of notions, not with a particular project in mind.

There’s a fat quarter of this colourful Michael Miller:

I feel guilty, but I did only manage to include one handmade gift, these Christmassy mug rugs. IMG_6488
I added a candy cane and a sachet of hot chocolate for (almost) all you need for a cosy winter beverage – just add a mug and hot water.
Pre one final layer of gift wrap, here’s the final collection.

I’m hoping it will fit with some of the interests of my recipient, so fingers crossed! My own Stitching Santa package arrived on Friday, but other than removing it from the envelope, I’m saving the proper unwrapping for the big day – how exciting!
