‘I, Camilla, of makingandmarking.com and IG @ccmercer sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’16. I endeavour to wear one item of memade clothing each day for the duration of May 2016’

It will be the first time I’ve considered signing up for MeMadeMay; last year I didn’t have nearly enough garments to even contemplate it. This year I’m giving it a go, although I’m fully aware it will not be easy and there will definitely be some repetition. I am intrigued to see whether it helps me to identify definite gaps in my wardrobe, though I could already hazard a fair guess what these may be (basic skirts, cardigans and outerwear…)
I’d like to think I will find time to post at least some of my outfit choices on Instagram, so feel free to check out @ccmercer to see how I get on with that.
Lastly, I’m hoping to expand my wardrobe by at least a couple more garments before the beginning of May. I’ve made 5 dresses and one top so far in 2016, with a sixth dress on the cutting table.
MeMadeMay promises to be an interesting month. As well as monitoring the wearing my own makes, I’m very much looking forward to seeing how everyone else gets on. Plus, May and June are my favourite months. What’s not to love?
Good luck! I found the hardest thing when it was my first time last year was getting decent photos! 😀

Thanks Ali 😊 based on how hopeless I’ve been getting pics of recent makes it really doesn’t bode well does it?! 📸

I’m in too! I’ll be collecting photos along the way and showing them once a week though. Looking forward to seeing your Makes!

Good luck! I’m going to do it this year too. The bit I found hardest was getting willing volunteers to photograph me every day. My family soon got bored of that!

Good luck, I did it for the first time last year and it certainly shows the holes in your handmade wardrobe, I included accessories, which did help 🙂

Photos the most difficult part for me too! It’s fun though, and really illuminating 🙂
