My C Dress is another New Look 6180, following on swiftly from the success of my B dress. When I had first completed my B Dress I felt that the shoulders didn’t sit as they should, so I cut the next size down for my C dress. This was probably a mistake, and even more so because I cut the actual paper pattern. Fail. The size down pulls a little across my shoulders, although seems ok everywhere else.

Again, this pattern gave me chance to practise my button and collar techniques, plus I opted to add in proper pockets from another pattern, as well as inverted vs into the sleeves. I didn’t make a belt. The fabric is a cute Lewis and Irene print from the Knitting and Stitching Show in November, priced at £10pm and earning this dress the title of the Cornfield Dress – see how sweet the little harvest mice are?
