You may be relieved to read that this is my third and final (for now) Avid Seamstress Day Dress. I wanted to make up the pattern a couple of times back to back so I could make any tweaks/adjustments and also try to avoid making any mistakes. My third version is the Festive Fruits Dress, so named because I used some Cotton + Steel Christmas 2015 Tinsel collection fabric, which features pomegranates. I bought it in the red AND in white brushed cotton in the sales after Christmas. My overall favourite was the dark blue colour way – I loved how the red pomegranates popped against the navy – but I was unable to track any down at a decent price.
As before, the dress came together quickly, again I kept the third version 2.5inches longer than the first. For some reason this one is probably my least favourite of the three, though I’m not sure why. It’s another staple make that’s equally good for school or weekends.
There really isn’t a lot more to say about this dress, or this pattern. I can say with some certainty, there will be more Day Dresses to come.
Well, isn’t that funny, because this version is my favourite, probably due to the fact that it’s bright red!

You’re steaming through the alphabet! Another lovely frock! I feel lucky having a uniform for work but then miss having excuses to wear dresses as much as I’d like to. 😀
