The M Dress is the metallic dress. I made this back in the summer, and actually cut it out on the last night of my summer holiday in Scotland, but sewed it up at home. The fabric was around £6pm and the pattern is a Cynthia Rowley 2406, view C. I’ve worn this dress twice, once on the day I got photos for this post (back in August) and also to my work Christmas party. I used an exposed type of zipper, intended for a jacket I seem to think – the bottom ends don’t fasten and can be separated.
I’m really happy with this dress, I think the fit is good and the wide obi type belt nips the waist in nicely. The length and neckline are good, and when I called at the petrol station on the way home from getting blog photos, the two ladies asked if I was going somewhere nice as I was dressed up. It was so lovely to be able to tell them I’d made the dress.
Really like this dress, both the fabric and the style

Thank you Ruth – I think it’s a flattering yet fairly demure style – wearable for work or weekends 😊
