Seven days, seven photos, sharing a glimpse of your week with the world. Nat has full details.

1.  Many aspects of my life have returned to normality this week, one of them being eating. Teaching means I rarely have the energy to cook anything much on an evening, but I have made an effort to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables this week which, whilst I’m definitely not (yet) dieting, can only be a good thing.

2I bought some dark grey/black brushed cotton. Just a metre and a half as I’m planning on using it to make a contrast Megan, as I’ve slightly less than needed to make it all out of this gorgeous animal fabric.
 3.   My classroom is finally ready for this term’s Japan project – wooden sushi and all.

 4.  I wore my lovely new Megan to work BUT had a disaster! I had French seamed it but not the seam below the zip. It came apart only an hour into the school day, meaning I had to sit on the floor of the staff toilets as I sewed and pinned it up so I could get through the rest of the day. Once home I did two more rows of straight stitch plus one of overlock stitch in the seam allowance to deter the fabric from fraying further.

 5.  My new Fitbit arrived! It’s currently in the process of charging but I am excited to see how I get on with it. I always use an app to track my walking but I’m hoping this will be more consistent and specific.

 6.  I traced off and cut out my very first Kim dress.

 7. A Sunday walk in the evasive January sunshine. Ten minutes after this I had an amazing view of a kingfisher, although I wasn’t nearly close enough to be able to photograph it. It was stunning, but you’ll have to trust me.

A week into term, I’m feeling very much back in the swing of things and fairly focused on what needs to be done, which is refreshing. A snowflake or two keeps appearing on my weather app, so I’m wondering whether snow will make an appearance on next week’s Sunday Sevens? Take care, keep warm and have a great week.
